The Neighbourhood

Positioned in the heart of Deer Park, close to Forest Hill and Yonge and St Clair, the area offers so much in the way of luxurious living: convenience, the finest schools, restaurants and easy access to downtown and out of the City. A block from the subway and steps to the renowned Badminton and Racquet Club, the area speaks refinement and gracious living.

The Building

Inspired by Standard Oil’s Founder Nelson Rockefeller’s vision of how to create an architecturally inspired commercial complex, the relocation of Imperial Oil’s headquarters to 111 St. Clair Avenue West in 1957 laid the framework for what would become Imperial Plaza, mid-town Toronto’s own ‘Rockefeller Centre’.
Art and architecture seamlessly weave into the timeless design of Imperial Plaza from an era when modern design was fast approaching its zenith. There is no question this is an iconic building and modernism has been firmly re-established in its design and construction. Designed and built to last centuries, at its completion Imperial Plaza was the largest all-welded steel frame building in the world.
As one of Toronto’s most coveted addresses and certainly Deer Park’s premier address, Imperial Plaza’s unique architectural aesthetic values have been crystallized while state of the art suite and amenity designs have been incorporated.

The Grand Lobby

Entering from St. Clair Avenue one is immediately struck by Imperial Plaza’s grand lobby soaring over 35 feet with its rich material palette – walls of granite, marble and gold mosaic tiles, window casements in bronzed and polished aluminum. Engraving the history of Imperial Oil in the Plaza, York Wilson’s famous murals ‘The Story of Oil’, adorn the east and west sides of the interior walls. The grand lobby has been preserved rather than decorated. Having the Market by Longos; Starbucks and the LCBO as Grand lobby tenants reinforce the prestige one enjoys being part of the Imperial Plaza community.

Plaza Amenities

With 30,000 square feet of Building amenities deemed ‘The Imperial Club’, this complex is nothing short of spectacular. The Club boasts a 20,000 square foot fitness club facility with state of the art cardio and circuit training; aerobics and Pilates studios; swimming pool; hot tub; his and hers steam and change rooms; two screening rooms; media lounge; sound studios for recording music; multi-purpose games room; golf simulator and for racquet fans, two international glass wall squash courts with viewing gallery, all supported by an activity reception and Executive Concierge to help you coordinate your activities at the Club.

With 10,000 square feet of southerly facing landscaped area, the Imperial Plaza courtyard is the most exquisite private garden in Toronto. A majestic garden is complemented by kitchen and BBQ facilities for outdoor dining. A long rectangular water feature is framed with a bosk of flowering magnolia.

1808: The Suite

Briskly rising up to the 18th floor, one walks to the southeast corner of the Plaza, the Suite entrance tucked away with a sense of privacy from the main corridor. The Suite’s layout was custom designed by the President of the Developer of Imperial Plaza. The two unit combination made it the only conforming 3 + 1 bedroom 3 bath corner Suite in the building – one of a kind. The smartly designed split layout has a full-sized laundry room, double closet and linen closet off of the welcoming foyer.

From the foyer one enters the Great Room, aptly named for its impressive scale, height and views. Indeed the whole Suite has 10-foot ceilings throughout. A generous sized open concept kitchen facing south is complemented with a breakfast bar with quartz counters throughout. Stainless steel appliances by AEG, GE and Liebherr. Laminate plank flooring throughout, designer European-style cabinetry, stone countertop and back painted backsplash complete the Suite materials.

Suite 1808 possesses commanding height and views of Toronto’s downtown and easterly. With more than 45 feet of southerly facing windows, on a clear day one can see the mist rising above Niagara Falls. Stunning views of Downtown and the CN Tower from the Master, the Great Room and the second bedroom. The suite features large operable windows.

The third bedroom, also with a large easterly facing window has clear unobstructed views. The Master Suite boasts a massive walk-in with a window allowing natural light in which can also be used as a sitting area and just beyond a beautifully appointed spacious 5 piece ensuite bathroom with floating vanity, large soaker and oversized rain shower.

Refined living, luxury and convenience await. Now is the time, seize the moment.
